Anatomy Screenings

Anatomy, a triptych of films devised and produced by Tony Ayres and Michael McMahon of Big & Little Films, will have it's Australian broadcast premiere on ABC TV on April 14th, 2009 at 10pm. The suite of films, exploring the nexus between art and the body, is comprised of Skin directed by Rhys Graham, Muscle directed by Natasha Gadd, and Heart directed by Amy Gebhardt.

These three films have already screened to acclaim and numerous commendations in festivals including International Documentary Festival Amsterdam (IDFA), Sheffield International Documentary Festival, Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, True/False Film Festival and, shortly, Tribeca International Film Festival. Among other achievements, the films have garnered a Best Director award for Natasha Gadd at the Australian Director's Guild awards and prize for Best Short Documentary for Amy Gebhardt at the Melbourne International Film Festival.

The screenings on ABC TV commence on April 14th 10pm when Skin shows as part of the Artscape program.

On April 21st 10pm, Heart will screen and on April 28th at 10pm the series concludes with Muscle.
