ADG Special Commendation to 'Audrey'

The Australian Directors Guild have announced the nominations for this year's awards. In the category of Best Music Video, ''Audrey'' directed by Rhys Graham for Melbourne band Red Ink was given a special commendation, while the main prize has been awarded to Nash Edgerton for his clip for Bob Dylan's ''Beyond Here Lies Nothing'' shot by Greig Fraser, DOP of Daybreak Films' Love This Time[[sitetree_link id=36]].

Floating

Daybreak Films has worked with design firm Actual Size to create a moving image installation for the launch of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, 2009. Using motion graphics by Bernard Winter, the film animates lush, floating, batches of cloth that slowly drift and fall across screens around the walls of the launch venue. Audrey Music Video launched

1 June 2009

''Audrey'', a new music video for Melbourne band ''Red Ink'' is now circulating on ABC''s Rage and Channel [V]. Directed by Rhys Graham, the clip can be seen in full here or on Red Ink''s Myspace. The clip was shot by Stefan Duscio, art direction by Marty Manca and produced by Jono Hill and Natasha Gadd for Daybreak Films.
